Safe, Smart Inversions for All Bodies

Join Chintamani (a.k.a. “C”) on Saturday, April 27, 1:15-3:15 pm for an energetic flow yoga class incorporating core strength, followed by detailed discussion, pose break-down, practice and assistance.  You will come away feeling strong, clear and empowered!


Don’t worry if Inversions seem scary.  There is always an inversion anyone can do!  You will benefit from watching others and working with the group in a supportive community setting.  Advanced practitioners will have time and space to work on core and endurance, and review safety tips.

  • Salamba Sirsasana (headstand)

  • Adho Mukha Vrkasasana (handstand)

  • Pinca Mayurasana (forearm stand)

  • And if we have time . . . . Salamba Sarvangasana (shoulder stand)

Inversions Risks

Please speak with Chintamani before signing up if any of the following apply to you:

  • Taking blood thinners

  • Spine or Neck Injuries

  • Heart conditions

  • Eye conditions (e.g. detached retinas, glaucoma)

  • High or low blood pressure

  • Pregnant or planning to become pregnant

  • Inversions are likely fine during the menstrual cycle, but contact me if you experience bruising and varicose veins during your cycle

You might wish to eat lightly before this class as we will be upside down quite a bit!
